Marie-Thérèse Schins
Marie-Thérèse Schins (also: Marie-Thérèse Schins-Machleidt , born August 21, 1943 in Venlo in the Netherlands ) is a German / Dutch journalist , painter and writer .
Life
Marie-Thérèse Schins was born in Venlo / Netherlands in 1943. There she trained as a children's librarian and headed the Central Children's Library in Nijmegen . She worked in children's and youth libraries in Hanover . Since 1974 she has been a freelance author, journalist and painter in Hamburg with a teaching position for creative writing in the field of aesthetics and communication at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences . She translates youth literature from Dutch. One focus of her work is dealing with grief.
Marie-Thérèse Schins is co-founder of the Institute for Mourning Work at the Evangelical Academy in Hamburg. For several years she has been building a network for disadvantaged children in India.
