Marie Bell (* December 23, 1900 as Marie-Jeanne Bellon in Bègles near Bordeaux , France , † August 14, 1985 in Neuilly-sur-Seine ) was a French actress and theater director .

Marie Bell received her artistic training at the Paris Conservatory . In 1921 she began her career as a stage actress at the Comédie-Française . In 1928 she was appointed partner there. Bell remained active on this most important theater stage in France until 1946. In between, Marie Bell became director of the Théatre des Amabassadeurs in the mid-1930s. In 1958 she also took over the management of the Parisian Théâtre du Gymnase , which would later bear her name.
