Marika Lagercrantz
Marika Karin Louise Lagercrantz (born July 12, 1954 in Solna ) is a Swedish actress .
Life
Marika Lagercrantz was born in Solna in 1954 as the daughter of the Swedish writer Olof Lagercrantz . Her younger brother, David Lagercrantz, is a well-known Swedish journalist and author. In 1965, the then eleven-year-old Marika Lagercrantz appeared in front of the camera for the first time in the feature film Modiga mindren .
When looking for an acting school, she first moved to Malmö . There she came into contact with various studio stages, but also with the pedagogue Ingemar Lind, the Danish Odin Teatret and the ideas of Jerzy Grotowski . In Stockholm Lagercrantz met the American actor Chris Torch, a former member of the Living Theater . With him and others, she founded the theater group Jord Cirkus, which mainly performed on streets and squares in 1977, and which also toured throughout Europe and the USA. The collective lived and worked in an occupied house in the Mullvaden district of Stockholm.
Her career as a film and television actress began in the early 1980s. She works almost exclusively in Scandinavian film and television productions. In German-speaking countries it is through her portrayal of Viola in All Things Fair is and Cecilia Vanger in the internationally successful Stieg Larsson -Romanverfilmung blindness known.
As an actress and director, Lagercrantz has worked in several productions in Germany. Since September 1, 2011, she has been cultural adviser at the Swedish Embassy in Berlin . Marika Lagercrantz is married to fellow Swedish actor Peter Bergared. The couple have three daughters together and lived together in Bagarmossen, a suburb of Stockholm, until 2011.
