Marileidy Paulino (born October 25, 1996 ) is a Dominican sprinter .

Athletic career

Marileidy Paulino gained her first international experience in 2016 at the Ibero-American Championships in Rio de Janeiro , where she finished fifth in the Dominican 4 x 100 meter relay in 44.56 seconds. She then took part in the 100-meter run at the U23 NACAC championships in San Salvador , where she finished fifth in 11.98 s, while she came sixth over 200 meters with 24.00 s. The following year she reached the semifinals in the 200-meter run at the Summer Universiade in Taipei , in which she was eliminated with 23.95 s. In addition, she was disqualified with the relay in the run-up. In 2018 she reached fourth place at the Central America and Caribbean Games (CAC) in Barranquilla over 100 and 200 meters in 11.33 s and 23.04 s respectively and won the bronze medal behind the teams in 43.68 s Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. In 2019 she was eliminated from the Pan American Games in Lima with 11.84 s over 100 meters in the first round and was seventh over 200 meters in 23.29 s. In addition, she qualified over 200 meters for the World Championships in Doha and reached the semifinals there , in which she was eliminated with 23.03 s. At the end of October she reached the final at the World Military Games in Wuhan , where she won the silver medal behind Maja Mihalinec from Slovenia in 23.18 seconds .
