Marina Eduardowna Asjabina
Marina Eduardowna Asjabina ( Russian Марина Эдуардовна Азябина , English transcription Marina Azyabina ; born June 15, 1963 in Ischewsk ) is a former Russian hurdler whose specialty was the 100-meter hurdles .
In 1991 she won gold at the Universiade as the representative of the Soviet Union . The following year she became champion of the CIS and, starting for their united team , reached the semi-finals at the Olympic Games in Barcelona .
In 1993 she became Russian champion and won silver at the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart .
In 1994 she won bronze at the Goodwill Games .
Marina Asjabina is hosting a sports program on the Moja Udmurtija TV channel today .
