Mario Čunko (born November 13, 1990 in Zagreb , Croatia ) is a Croatian ice hockey player who has been under contract with KHL Mladost Zagreb in the Slohokej League since 2011 .
Career
Mario Čunko began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the KHL Mladost Zagreb , for whose professional team he was initially active in the Croatian ice hockey league from 2006 to 2008 and then in the 2008/09 season in the Slovenian ice hockey league. With Mladost Zagreb he became Croatian champion in 2008. For the 2009/10 season , the attacker moved within Zagreb to KHL Medveščak Zagreb , for which he first ran in the Slohokej League , in which he scored two goals in a total of 25 games. He also took part in the Croatian ice hockey league with Medveščak and was Croatian champion for the second time in his career.
In the 2010/11 season , Čunko played parallel for the KHL Medveščak Zagreb in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League and for its new cooperation partner, Team Zagreb , in the Slohokej League. He also won the Croatian championship title again with his team. For the 2011/12 season he returned to the KHL Mladost Zagreb after it resumed play in the Slohokej League.
International
For Croatia , Čunko took part in the junior division of the U18 Junior C World Championship in 2008 , the U20 Junior C World Championship in 2008 and 2009 and the U20 Junior B World Championship in 2010 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad for the first time at the 2011 C World Championship .
