Mario Hochgerner (born August 23, 1984 in Vienna ) is an Austrian sports presenter and commentator. He currently works for Puls 4 and DAZN .

Life

Hochgerner grew up in Breitenfurt near Vienna . In 2005 he graduated from the Vienna Business School Mödling and started two years later as a radio host at "Antenne Wien - Das City Radio". In 2008 he switched to the private radio station KroneHit and moderated there until 2014. In parallel to his work as a radio presenter, from 2009 he worked as a reporter for the breakfast television "Cafe Puls". In 2011 he switched to the sports department of Puls 4. Between 2012 and 2015 he was a field reporter and highlight commentator for the UEFA Champions League on Puls 4. Since 2015 he has been reporting from the stadiums as a field moderator for UEFA Europa League matches and conducting interviews for Puls 4.

Since summer 2016 he has also been working as a football commentator for DAZN in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Together with Florian Knöchl and Dori Bauer , he has been presenting the program Ninja Warrior Austria on Puls 4 since October 2017 .
