Mario Ludwig (born July 19, 1957 in Heidelberg ) is a German biologist and author .

Life

Mario Ludwig was born as the son of biology professor Herbert W. Ludwig (1924–2002) and Anneliese Ludwig in Heidelberg. After graduating from high school in 1976 and a two-year military service, he studied biology and sports science at the University of Heidelberg . After diploma (1987) and doctorate (1991) he worked as a research assistant at the Zoological Institute of Heidelberg University until 1992.
