Thomas Pielmeier (born April 14, 1987 in Deggendorf ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Dresdner Eislöwen in the DEL2 since May 2017 . His younger brother Timo is an ice hockey goalkeeper .
Player career
From 2002 Thomas Pielmeier played for the young eagles Mannheim , the junior team of the Adler Mannheim , in the German junior league . In the 2004/05 season , the right-shooter was used by the Eagles for the first time in the DEL, the rest of the time he spent at the Mannheim ERC club in the Baden-Württemberg League and again with the Young Eagles. With the young eagles he won the title in the German junior league in 2004 and 2005.
In 2006 , Pielmeier moved to league competitor Nürnberg Ice Tigers , with whom he reached the final of the German championship , but lost it to his former club from Mannheim. For the 2007/08 season the striker signed a contract with the Eisbären Berlin, from which he was used in the DEL as well as with the cooperation partners Kassel Huskies in the 2nd Bundesliga and the Eisbären Juniors Berlin in the Oberliga . For the 2008/09 season Pielmeier signed a contract with the Hamburg Freezers before moving to the Kassel Huskies a year later. Since they did not receive a DEL license, Pielmeier got a contract with the Augsburger Panthers at the end of August 2010 , but played in the second half of the season for the Ravensburg Tower Stars , with whom he was second division champion at the end of the season. He then played for two years each for the second division club Eispiraten Crimmitschau and the DEL club Schwenninger Wild Wings .
In May 2015, Thomas Pielmeier moved to ERC Ingolstadt , where he met his three years younger brother Timo. After two years and 96 DEL games for Ingolstadt, he returned to the DEL2 in May 2017 when he signed a contract with the Dresdner Eislöwen .
