Steve Hanusch (* 2 December 1990 in Cottbus ) is a German ice hockey defenseman who again since 2017 Dresdner Eislöwen in DEL2 plays. He is the son of Torsten Hanusch , who played for many years as a defender for Eissport Weisswasser .

Career

Steve Hanusch began his career as an ice hockey player at ES Jungfüchse Weißwasser , for which he was active until 2006. In his last season the defender was on the ice for the offspring of the Foxes in the German Junior League . This was followed by one year each in the DNL for Jungadler Mannheim and Krefeld EV .

From the summer of 2008 Hanusch was under contract with the Eisbären Berlin . After starting the 2008/09 season with a license to play in the ice hockey league with the Eisbären Juniors Berlin , the right-handed shooter made his debut in the DEL over the course of the season . In the 2009/10 season he also played with a license for the Dresdner Eislöwen in the 2nd Bundesliga . After the cooperation with the Eislöwen was given up, he ran in the following season with a license for the league competitor Eispiraten Crimmitschau and three games for the upper league club FASS Berlin . In the 2011/12 season, the right- shooter was under contract with the Landshut Cannibals . After a DEL season with the Krefeld penguins , Hanusch injured his ankle in September 2013 . After the medical rehabilitation , the defender was loaned to Weißwasser with a license to support the Lausitzer Füchsen playing in DEL 2 in order to gain game practice. With that he returned to the club of his youth after seven years.

In November 2016 Hanusch was released from the management of the Krefeld Penguins after insufficient performance and switched to the DEL2 to the Kassel Huskies a month later .

Hanusch has been under contract with the Eislöwen again since April 2017.

International

At the U18 World Cup in 2008 , Hanusch reached fifth place with Germany .
