Mario Neunaber (born March 17, 1982 in Bremen ) is a former German soccer player .

Career as a player

Since Neunaber left his north German homeland in the summer of 2004, he has been under contract with seven different clubs. His greatest sporting success was in the 2007/08 season when he was promoted from the regional league to the 2nd Bundesliga with FC Ingolstadt 04 . There he completed 29 games for the club, which he left after the immediate relegation in the summer of 2009 to Wuppertaler SV Borussia . With this club he then rose from the 3rd division the following year.

After a year in the fourth division at the southern regional division KSV Hessen Kassel , he was committed in the summer of 2011 by the third division SSV Jahn Regensburg , who responded to personnel shortages in the defensive area. He played his first competitive game for Regensburg on August 3, 2011 at his ex-club Werder Bremen II (4: 1). From then on he was a regular in central defense. He played 33 times until he reached 3rd place in the league, and after the Upper Palatinate just got the upper hand in the two relegation games with his participation, he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga for the second time in his career.

After the rise, Neunaber extended his contract with Jahn Regensburg until 2014. In the following season he went back to the 3rd division with SSV Jahn and completed 13 second division games and 32 third division games in the two seasons. After the contract expired in the summer of 2014, Neunaber did not receive a new contract in Regensburg and moved to Rot-Weiss Essen in the Regionalliga West . There he ended his sporting career with the end of the 2014/15 season .
