Marisa Masullo

Marisa Masullo (born May 8, 1959 in Milan ) is a former Italian sprinter .

Life

In 1979 she won gold over 200 m and silver over 100 m at the Mediterranean Games . At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, she reached the quarterfinals over 100 m and 200 m, and in 1981 she won a silver medal at the Universiade over 200 m

In 1983 she won bronze over 60 m at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Budapest , came to the semi-finals at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki over 200 m and won silver over 100 m and bronze over 200 m at the Mediterranean Games.

At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, she advanced over 200 m into the semifinals and finished sixth with the Italian team in the 4 x 400 meter relay .

In 1987 she reached the quarter-finals over 100 m at the World Cup in Rome and won over 200 m gold at the Mediterranean Games. At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, she was eliminated over 100 m in the preliminary run, over 200 m in the quarterfinals and in the 4 x 100 meter relay in the semifinals.

In 1991 she defended her title over 200 m at the Mediterranean Games. At the World Cup in Tokyo she reached the quarter-finals over this distance and came in seventh place with the Italian team in the 4 x 100 meter relay.

She was national champion over 100 m eleven times (1980–1985, 1987, 1988, 1990–1992) and ten times over 200 m (1978, 1980–1983, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1992). In the hall she won six national titles over 60 m (1979, 1981, 1983, 1985, 1991, 1993) and three over 200 m (1980, 1984, 1988).
