Marius Silviu Alexe (born February 22, 1990 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian football player . The striker has been playing for Kardemir Karabükspor in the highest Turkish soccer league, the Süper Lig , since summer 2015 , but was loaned to FO ŽP ŠPORT Podbrezová to Slovakia in the second half of the 2016/17 season.
Career
Alexe's career began when he made his first appearance at the age of 15 in the second team of his home club Dinamo Bucharest , which at the time played in League II . In 2006 he moved up to the squad of the first team, but initially did not get a chance. In 2008 he then moved to Astra Ploiesti in Liga II. With Astra, he was promoted to League 1 , where he made his debut on August 2, 2009. Shortly thereafter, he returned to Dinamo and has been used regularly ever since. In 2011 he reached the Romanian Cup final with his team , but lost there to Steaua Bucharest . A year later he won his first title by winning the Cup in 2012 , after having finished the 2011/12 season with his team in fifth place despite the autumn championship. In the 2012/13 season he scored 15 goals, the best result of his career, but missed qualifying for the Europa League with his team . For the 2013/14 season he was loaned to the Italian first division club US Sassuolo Calcio . There he missed the entire second half of the season due to injury.
For the 2015/16 season Alexe moved to the Turkish second division club Kardemir Karabükspor . There, he succeeded with his team the rise in the Süper Lig . After missing the first half of the 2016/17 season due to an injury, he was first used in January 2017. In mid-February, his club loaned him to FO ŽP ŠPORT Podbrezová in the Slovak Fortuna league until the end of the season .
National team
On March 29, 2011 Alexe made his debut in the jersey of the Romanian national team when he came on for Adrian Mutu in the 84th minute of the European Championship qualifier against Luxembourg .
