Marius Macrionitis
Marius Macrionitis SJ (born October 8, 1913 in Vari , Greece , † April 8, 1959 ) was the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Athens .
Life
Marius Macrionitis joined the Congregation of the Jesuits in and received on 15 July 1941, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On March 11, 1953, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Archbishop of Athens. The Bishop of Syros , Georges Xenopulos SJ, donated him episcopal ordination on May 10 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Exarch of Greece , George Calavassy , and the Archbishop of Naxos, Andros, Tinos and Mykonos , Giovanni Francesco Filippucci .
