Marjanske ( Ukrainian Мар'янське ; Russian Марьянское Marjanskoje ) is a village in the center of the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with about 250 inhabitants (2001).

Marjanske belongs administratively to the district municipality of the village Mychajliwka ( Михайлівка , ) in the north of the Rajon Velyka Bahachka .

The village is located on the right bank of the Vovyanka ( Вовнянка ), a 17 km long right tributary of the Psel , 4 km west of the Mychajlivka community center, 19 km southeast of the city of Myrhorod , 21 km north of the Velyka Bahachka district and 95 km northwest of the Poltava oblast center .

Taras Shevchenko was a guest in Marjanske in the spring and autumn of 1845 with the retired major, landowner and aristocratic marshal of the Mirgorod district of the Poltava governorate Oleksandr Lukyanovich ( Олександр Андрійович Лук'янович ) and portraits there .1879–1879–1879.

The Shevchenko oak stands in the village , a 400 year old botanical natural monument of local importance.
