Mark Boswell

Mark Boswell (born July 28, 1977 in Mandeville , Manchester Parish ) is a former Canadian high jumper of Jamaican origin.

In 1996 he won the Junior World Championships in Sydney , and in 1997 he was eliminated from the qualification at the World Athletics Championships in Athens .

In 1999 he won silver at the Universiade . At the Pan American Games in Winnipeg he was declared the winner with his compatriot Kwaku Boateng after Cuban Javier Sotomayor was disqualified for doping, and at the World Cup in Seville he won silver.

At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney he was sixth.

In 2001 he was twelfth at the World Indoor Championships in Lisbon , won the Francophonie Games and was sixth at the World Championships in Edmonton . The following year he won the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester and came second in the World Cup in Athletics in Madrid . In 2003 he finished fifth at the Indoor World Championships in Birmingham and won bronze at the World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis .

At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens he was seventh and fourth at the 2005 World Cup in Helsinki.

At the end of his career he won the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

Mark Boswell is 1.89 m tall and weighed 66 kg at competition times.
