Mark Divine

Mark Divine (born 1964 or 1965 ) is an American entrepreneur, author, and former Navy SEAL .

Life

education

Divine grew up in New York , studied economics at Colgate University and earned an MBA in finance from New York University Stern School of Business . He then worked as an auditor at Coopers & Lybrand , where his clients included the investment banks Salomon Brothers and PaineWebber .

Navy SEAL

Four years after graduation, Divine retired from auditing and became a Navy SEAL . At the age of 26, he completed the introductory course SEAL BUD / s class number 170 as the best in the course. He served as an active SEAL for 9 years and as a SEAL reservist for another 11 years . In 2011 he ended his military career as a commander (German about frigate captain ).

Entrepreneur

From 1996 Divine operated as an entrepreneur. He co-founded Coronado Brewing Company (CBC) , which he later sold, and founded the commercial website www.NavySEALs.com, which provides information about the SEALs. In 2006 he founded the company US Tactical , which as a contractor to the US government supports the training of the US Navy , in particular the SEALs.

In 2004 he was an Associate Professor at the University of San Diego . During the Third Gulf War he was reactivated as a SEAL and deployed to Baghdad . He carried out a study on the role of the United States Marine Corps among the special forces on behalf of the US Department of Defense .

Divine holds the black belt in several martial arts and is an instructor in Ashtanga Yoga . After developing mental toughness had trained with several candidates and members of military special forces, he published in 2011 initially self-published his first book Unbeatable Mind (dt. Invincible mind ) and developed an eponymous distance learning program. In addition, he published other books in regular publishers.

Divine lives in Encinitas , California , where he runs the SEALfit Training Center .
