Mark Farrington (born June 15, 1965 ) is a retired English football player .

He played at Everton in his youth . There he did not receive a professional contract afterwards. However, he was able to convince opponents Norwich City with four goals in the three finals of the FA Youth Cup in 1983 and signed a two-year contract there.

Both there and at Cambridge United , where Farrington was temporarily on loan, he could not prevail. In July 1985, he moved to Cardiff City . He was able to convince the Welsh athletes, but was noticeable off the field and was dismissed after one season for disciplinary reasons.

From 1986 Farrington tried his luck at Willem II Tilburg , with whom he immediately rose to the Eredivisie in the first season and surprisingly came fourth in the following season. After these two years he moved to KRC Genk , where he was relegated to the second Belgian league, so that he moved back to Fortuna Sittard in the Netherlands after the season . He scored ten goals in 30 appearances at Limburg and then moved to the new Bundesliga club Hertha BSC . Although Hertha was already beaten at the bottom of the table at the winter break, Farrington had not been able to prevail, whereupon he left the club after only half a year.

After the good experience in Sittard Farrington moved again to Holland to the top club Feyenoord Rotterdam , which he left for England at the end of the season and five games .

He played for the second division club Brighton & Hove Albion until 1994, but could not really gain a foothold there either and only made 28 appearances in three years. He let his career end in the 1994/95 season at the lower Hereford United .
