The Mark IV class is a four-unit class of ships owned by the Norwegian shipping company Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics . The ships are RoRo ships that are used as car transporters.
The ships were built at Daewoo Heavy Industries. The owner is Wilhelmsen Lines Shipowning AS, the ship management is the responsibility of Wilhelmsen Ship Management (Norway) AS. The ships are registered in the Norwegian secondary register and sail under the Norwegian flag with their home port of Tønsberg .
The eight decks of the ships, four of which are height-adjustable, have a total area of 46,350 m². The total volume of the holds is 125,620 m³. At the stern on the starboard side there is a 12 meter wide ramp that forms an angle of 38 degrees to the stern. The rear ramp can be loaded with a maximum of 320 tons.
The ships are driven by a MAN B&W diesel engine (type: 8L70MC (MK5)) with an output of 20,960 kW , which acts on a controllable pitch propeller . The ships can thus reach a maximum speed of 22 knots . The ships also have a bow thruster with an output of 1,800 kW.
