Mark Jelks (born April 10, 1984 in Gary , Indiana ) is a Nigerian sprinter of American descent.

At the World Athletics Championships in 2007 in Osaka, he was injured over 100 m in the preliminary run.

In 2009 he was over 60 m US indoor champion and over 200 m seventh in the athletics world finals

In 2010 he was banned for two years for a doping rule violation . He had failed to appear for a doping test and had failed to inform the United States Anti-Doping Agency of his whereabouts twice in a year and a half .

He has been working for Nigeria since 2014. In the same year he was at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow fifth over 100 m and sixth in the 4-by-100-meter relay . At the African Athletics Championships in Marrakech he won silver over 100 m and gold with the Nigerian 4 x 100 meter relay, and at the Athletics Continental Cup in Marrakech he was fourth over 100 m and third with the African 4 x 100 meter relay.
