Mark O'Donnell
Mark O'Donnell (born July 19, 1954 in Cleveland , Ohio , † August 6, 2012 in New York City , New York ) was an American writer .
Life
Mark O'Donnell was the twin brother of television writer Steve O'Donnell . His father was a welder, his mother a housewife. He graduated from Harvard University in 1976 .
He was the co-author of the musical Hairspray , for which he received the 2003 Tony Award .
O'Donnell died in his Manhattan apartment in 2012 after a sudden breakdown.
