The Markbuchener Sattel ( 901 m ) is a pass in the Bavarian Forest in the east of Sankt Englmar in the Bavarian Forest Nature Park . It lies between the Predigtstuhl ( 1024 m ) and the Pröller ( 1049 m ). The marrow beech in the northeast (municipality of Sankt Englmar) is eponymous.
State road 2139 , which connects Sankt Englmar with Viechtach , leads over the Markbuchener Sattel . A parking lot serves as a starting point for hikes to the Predigtstuhl or the Pröller. Four lifts access the Predigtstuhl ski area from another car park, around 500 m to the northeast of the pass.
