Works and exhibitions

Bürgi has been creating works as a visual artist since 1990. His place of life and work is Sarnen , his studio is in the Bitzighofen district .

Bürgi works in the border area between painting and sculpture. Painted cotton cloths form the “raw material” for further processing steps. Further transformations are made by cutting, folding and sewing. He uses the "picture fabric" as the basic material of a traditional handicraft and uses it to make clothes, bags and shoes, for example.
