Markus E. Ungerer

Markus E. Ungerer (* 1967 in Würzburg ; † January 4, 2019 at Marktsteft ), was a firefighter and non-fiction author .

Life

Ungerer completed his training as a security specialist and worked for the Fehrer company in Kitzingen . There he also worked in the plant fire department. From there he switched to the US Army fire department at the Kitzingen location . After the dissolution of the garrison, Ungerer trained to become a specialist journalist from 2008 and worked as a freelance writer and lecturer . In 2013 he became the commandant of the Kitzingen fire brigade. Ungerer died in a traffic accident on the way back from a mission. He left behind his wife and two daughters.

During his time as a US firefighter, Ungerer published his first work, a children's book on the subject of "Firefighters". Books on fire protection and fire service training followed, as well as a crime series.
