Markus Hennig

Markus Hennig (* 1976 in Datteln ) is a German author specializing in satire, cabaret and comedy. He lives in Cologne .

After graduating from high school in 1997, Hennig first worked as a radio reporter at Radio FiV (today: Radio Vest ) in Recklinghausen . After a traineeship at Antenne Ruhr (now Radio Oberhausen / Radio Mülheim ) in Mülheim an der Ruhr , he was an editor at WDR Radio 1Live - most recently with a focus on entertainment and comedy.

In 2006, the Südwitz authors' office was founded together with Henning Bornemann and Jan Böhmermann .

In the beginning, radio satires were created for the WDR2 encore , 1Live , WDR5 , HR3 and NDRinfo . Later he wrote for TV formats such as Extra3 ( NDR ), Ladies Night ( WDR / ARD ), Zimmer frei! ( WDR ) and The unlikely events in the life of ... (WDR).

2013-2014 he was principal author of ZDFneo telecast nate light with Philip Simon . 2015-2017 he was principal author of the ZDF telecast man Sieber! In 2018-2019 he was the main author of the zdfneo broadcast Neo Magazin Royale

His script for the Switch reloaded - Wetten dass ..? - Spezial he was awarded the Grimme Prize in 2013 .
