Markus Kniepeiß
Markus Kniepeiß (born September 6, 1982 in Hall in Tirol ) is an Austrian illusion painter and restorer .
Life
Markus Kniepeiß showed an interest in the fine arts from an early age , made pencil drawings and experimented with watercolors . At the age of twelve he painted for a competition and his work was printed twice.
Between 1999 and 2004 he completed a watercolor course and completed a four-year training course as a gilder and sign painter at the Elbigenalp technical college for arts and crafts .
For his first major commission to paint a landscape of Tuscany in a swimming pool, Kniepeiß studied the works of old masters such as Botticelli , Dürer , Michelangelo and Raffael as well as the painting techniques of well-known illusion painters at the age of 21 .
The main focus of his work is the restoration of furniture and figures, the facade design ( Lüftlmalerei ) including writing and special coats of arms, the setting of crib figures and the design of crib backgrounds.
Kniepeiß lives and works in Mieming / Tyrol .
