Markus Krauss (born September 16, 1987 in Sibiu ) is a former German soccer player and current coach. He plays in the position of goalkeeper.
Career
Krauss played in his youth for TSV Eltingen and SV Böblingen , and in 2005 he joined SSV Reutlingen 05 . In the 2005/06 season Krauss rose to the U-19 Bundesliga with the A-youth of Reutlinger . After he had completed 17 games for the first team of SSV in the 2007/08 season in the Regionalliga Süd , Krauss moved to the then second division club TSV 1860 Munich . There he came to the second team on 26 regional league appearances. Krauss has been training as a guest player with the second team of VfB Stuttgart since summer 2009 and received a contract with VfB until the end of June 2011 on January 29, 2010.
Krauss made his professional debut on April 30, 2010 on the 37th match day of the 2009/10 season for VfB II in the 3rd professional league against SpVgg Unterhaching .
For the 2011/12 season Krauss moved to the second division Fortuna Düsseldorf . During this season he completed 22 appearances for the second team of the Düsseldorf team in the Regionalliga West and rose to the Bundesliga with Fortuna without a commitment of his own for the first team .
After a year in Düsseldorf, Krauss joined the Stuttgarter Kickers for the following season . For the 2014/15 season, Krauss moved to the regional division SV Waldhof Mannheim . In 2015 he moved to VfB Stuttgart as a U17 goalkeeping coach.
