Markus Menschig (born December 12, 1967 ) is a former German ice hockey player who played on the position of striker .

Career

Menschig began his career in the senior division at Schwenninger ERC , first with the second team in the Oberliga and in the Regionalliga Mitte , then with the first team in the 2nd Bundesliga .

His first station outside Villingen-Schwenningen was the Deggendorfer EC in the Oberliga 1991/1992. After two more seasons in Deggendorf , he moved to EHC Neuwied in the 1st League North . There he was top scorer with 111 points. After he missed the play-offs with EHC Neuwied in the 1994/95 season, Menschig moved within the league to the Wedemark Wildcats , one of the predecessors of today's DEL team Hannover Scorpions . With the Wildcats he won the championship title of the first division, but then switched to the Hannover Turtles and remained loyal to them until autumn 1997. He then signed with Braunlager EHC / Harz and stayed for one season. For the 1998/99 season he moved to EV Duisburg .

Menschig ended his career in the ice hockey league at ESV Bayreuth after the 1999/00 season .
