Career

From 1995 to 1997 Schneider completed an apprenticeship as a forwarding agent . He then studied business administration with a specialization in business informatics at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg . During this course, he spent a semester abroad at Maastricht University . In 2002 he completed his studies with a degree in business administration and then worked at Audi as a process planner for logistics. Two years later he became project manager for virtual logistics.

After completing his doctorate in 2008 at the University of Regensburg on the subject of "Logistics planning in the automotive industry - conception of an instrument to support tactical logistics planning before the start of production in the context of the digital factory", he ended his previous professional activity and took over the professor of logistics , material and production management at the Faculty of Industrial engineering of the University of Landshut .

In 2009 Schneider founded the Competence Center Production and Logistics Landshut (PuLL) in the vicinity of the Landshut University of Applied Sciences. This resulted in the Technology Center Production and Logistics Systems (TZ PULS) , managed by Schneider and opened in 2016, as a research institute of the Landshut University of Applied Sciences.

In 2012 he founded the part-time master’s course "Process Management & Resource Efficiency - Lean & Clean". Between 2012 and 2017 he headed the university certificate course “Expertise Logistics” for the BMW Group . With Lean Factory Design, he created an action and design concept for the holistic optimization of complex production systems in uncertain operating environments.

Entrepreneur

In 2009, Schneider founded PuLL Beratung GmbH , a company for consulting and training in the fields of production, logistics and material flow optimization as well as shop floor management and lean factory design. In 2015, together with a partner from the construction industry, he founded the Kompetenzzentrum Fabrikplanung GmbH , which deals with integrated, material flow and lean-oriented factory and location planning through to construction implementation. Together with several professors, Schneider founded Technologiezentrum Dingolfing GmbH with u. a. Further training courses on the subject of lean are offered in the learning and model factory of the TZ PULS.
