Markus Wustmann

Markus Wustmann (* 1975 in Leipzig ) is a German photographer and filmmaker.

Live and act

Wustmann began his career in 1996 as a photographer for bands like Sharon Stoned , Readymade , Motorpsycho and The Caine , and has also visually accompanied artists like Kolkhorst and Dirk Darmstaedter for many years. On behalf of the music magazines Spex , Intro and Persona non Grata , he photographed numerous personalities from the world of music, literature and film, such as: B. Phillip Boa , Bret Easton Ellis and Jörg Buttgereit . As a director of music videos , he shot the first Blackmail video (“Gone too soon too far”, 2000) and subsequently clips for Michel van Dyke , The Galan Pixs , Rantanplan , Superpunk , Jack Beauregard and many others. In 2005 he made “Fes-Dur”, a film about the film composer André Feldhaus . Markus Wustmann's concert film “Live at Vier Linden” for the band BB & The Blues Shacks was named “Best DVD International” 2006 by the readers of the Austrian magazine CONCERTO and by BLUES-NEWS-POLL. In 2003 he also shot the black and white contribution “Home” for the DVD “Close ears and through” by Sportfreunde Stiller .

In 2002 he won the Bremen Documentary Film Advancement Award, endowed with 10,000 euros, for “Strange Again” .
