André Feldhaus

André Feldhaus (born October 2, 1975 in Münster ) is a German film music composer and songwriter .

Life

After completing his classical piano training, André Feldhaus was the singer and guitarist of the German punk band Mother's Ruin in the 1990s and studied at the Ruhr University in Bochum and at the University of Bremen .

Since the late 1990s, André Feldhaus has written the film music for numerous cinema and television productions. Among them are several travel reports by Gerd Ruge , the WWF -critical documentary The Pact with the Panda by Wilfried Huismann , as well as other productions for WDR , NDR , Radio Bremen and arte . Other works include the music for Devilish Years , the filmic portrait of the pardon founder Hans A. Nikel , the documentary film Remarque - his way to fame with Max von Thun and Esther Zimmering , and Von Kamen nach Corleone on the book of the same name by Petra Reski . Nordstrand found its way into cinemas in early 2014 . Florian Eichinger's feature film with music by André Feldhaus was nominated for the Max Ophüls Prize the year before . Feldhaus also wrote the music for the crime scene Die Wiederkehr (director: Florian Baxmeyer ) and for the feature film 4 Kings by Theresa von Eltz, which was awarded the German Film Prize in bronze in 2016.

In addition to working for film and television, Feldhaus has also composed for the stage, for example for the play Die Brüder Grimm with Martin Lüttge and Norbert Kentrup in the title roles, which premiered in 2000 at the Bremer Shakespeare Company and in 2007 by the Cities with theater guest performances.
