Antônio Marcos da Silva Filho , called Marquinhos Paraná , (born July 20, 1977 in Recife , Pernambuco ) is a former Brazilian football player .

Career

He started his career in the youth team of Santa Cruz FC . In the course of his career he qualified for a first division team in Brazil in 2005. Then it went for one season to Japan and back to Brazil for the Cruzeiro EC from Belo Horizonte . He played most of his competitive games for this club. But there was no great success. Marquinhos Paraná was part of the team that lost the 2009 Copa Libertadores final.

In 2013, Marquinhos Paraná moved to Ventforet Kofu in Japan . He was still active at 39.
