Martha Frühwirt
Martha Frühwirt (born April 30, 1924 in Vienna ; † March 23, 1998 ibid) was the founder of the first medical self-help group in Austria ( women’s self-help after cancer ).
Life
Martha Frühwirt was an employee of the City of Vienna, her last position here was the head of the youth welfare office. In addition to her job, she was in charge of the Vienna Medical Self-Help Center, which has been located in the former Leopoldstadt Children's Hospital at Oberen Augartenstrasse 26-28 since 1986 , and was instrumental in establishing it.

- 1994: Gold Medal of the Republic of Austria
Martha Frühwirt was buried at the Ottakringer Friedhof . In September 1998 the medical self-help center, the seat of around 26 self-help groups, was named Martha-Frühwirt-Center for medical self-help groups .
