Martin Bucher

Martin Bucher (born October 4, 1967 in Zug ) is a Swiss sculptor and object artist .

Life

Bucher studied fine arts and architecture at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1994 to 2000 , which awarded him a travel grant and the Bernhard Hoetger Prize in 1998 . It was there that he was appointed master student of Christian Megert in 1999 and received his academy letter in 2000 .

He creates sculptures out of wood and stone, sculptures out of plastic and metal , installations , environments and art in buildings .

In 2003 Bucher was awarded a grant from the Canton of Zug , and in 2005 he won the competition for the fountain at the Baar Care Center , which he completed in 2006.

Bucher works and lives in Düsseldorf today .
