Life

Herberg began his musical career in the 1960s as a member of various rock bands. He had his first solo appearance at Folk Club Witten of Hildegard Doebner . In 1975 he decided to pursue a career as a professional musician and solo interpreter. At that time he was working with the flamenco guitarist Manolo Lohnes . He gave the first one and a half hour solo concert at the beginning of May 1975 in the studio stage in Marburg . He broke off his music studies (1976–1978) in favor of his career as a professional musician.

Since then Herberg has performed with his program “Total Guitar” in many places in Europe, the United States , Canada and Russia . In total, he booked more than 3,000 appearances on cabaret stages, in cultural centers and at festivals. In 2013 he started his four-year farewell tour. The journal Akustikgitarre once called him the "string wonder". The WDR dedicated a program to him with the title "On the Road".

He recorded his first LP Eruptionen in 1979 in the renowned recording studio of Günter Pauler's label Stockfisch Records in Northeim, Lower Saxony , and published it 5000 times through his own distribution. He then founded his own record label Lonesome Loser Records in his hometown of Wuppertal and has been publishing there since then. He released some tracks from his debut album "digitally remastered" together with tracks from his later album For No One in 1993 on the album From The Beginning again. The double CD Romantic Escapes , released in 2002, was recorded in the church in Meßdunk and in the Wuppertal factory.
