Martin Christoph Mezger

Martin Christoph Metzger (also Martin Christoph Mezger , born September 4, 1625 in Vienna ; † May 10, 1690 in Regensburg ) was an Austro-German doctor, city doctor in Regensburg and member of the academy of scholars “ Leopoldina ”.

Life

Martin Christoph Metzger studied medicine in Padua , where he received his medical doctorate in 1651. He then settled in Preßburg , then became city doctor in Regensburg , dean of the medical college in Regensburg and councilor and personal doctor of the Prince Archbishop of Salzburg . Christoph Daniel Metzger, the son of Martin Metzger, was born in Pressburg and also became a doctor.

On September 19, 1683, Martin Christoph Metzger with the academic surname Phoenix II. Was accepted as a member ( matriculation number 117 ) in the Leopoldina .
