Martin Erdmann (theologian, 1962)

Martin Erdmann (born July 20, 1962 in Stuttgart ) is a German evangelical publicist and theologian.

Life

Martin Erdmann graduated from the Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasium Marbach in 1982 . After attending the Brake Bible School for three years , he began studying missiology and the New Testament at Columbia International University in Columbia in 1987 , which he successfully completed three years later. For two semesters in 1991 he studied missiology, modern church history and the New Testament at the Swiss University in Basel . At the same time, he taught German as a foreign language at the Black Forest Academy in Kandern . In 1991 he began his second master's degree (New Testament and Patristics) in Aberdeen , which he successfully completed two years later.

In 2000 he received his PhD in modern church history from Brunel University in Uxbridge , England. In order to deepen his knowledge of the New Testament and the history of theology, he studied at the Séminaire Libre De Théologie À Genève (Free Theology Seminar in Geneva ) from 2000 to 2001.

During his stay in various US cities from 1995 to 1999, Martin Erdmann worked as an independent marketing partner and senior consultant for the Global Entrepreneurs Network , and at the same time founded and ran his own companies VeraxIS and Online Communication Systems Inc. in Columbus, Ohio. As Vice President of Business Development and Theology for Mustardseed Media in San José , he helped set up the Biblelands website .

In 1999 he began his pastoral service in a Baptist congregation in Wermelskirchen and at the same time taught the subject of the New Testament at the state-independent theological college in Basel . From September 2000 he was Head of the New Testament Department.

From 2003 to 2010 he taught as an assistant professor at Patrick Henry College in Purcellville , Virginia.

As the founder and director of the Verax Institute , he has had the main responsibility there since 2003. From January 2004 to December 2008 he wrote an academic study on the ethical issues of nanomedicine as a senior scientist for the Basel University Hospital . From 2005 to 2010 he taught courses in three theological disciplines at the Academy for Reformation Theology in Hanover. Since January 2013 he has been teaching philosophy at North Greenville University in Tigerville .
