Martin Flatscher (politician)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Martin Johann Flatscher (born June 17, 1961 in Enneberg ) is a South Tyrolean politician.

Flatscher completed a degree in history in Rome . His political career was essentially limited to 1993. After Remo Ferretti, who was on the run, submitted his resignation by post, Flatscher was able to move into the South Tyrolean state parliament on October 21, and at the same time the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol . The representative of the Democrazia Cristiana held his mandate until the end of the legislative period on December 12 of the same year. Despite the extremely short term of office, this made a restructuring of the South Tyrolean provincial government inevitable. Since the state government had to reflect the ethnic composition of the state parliament in every case according to the then applicable legal situation and with Flatscher now a second Ladin deputy was represented, Hugo Valentin had to be re -elected to the state council at short notice.
