Martin Fuger (born February 15, 1990 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian handball player .

Career

Born in Vienna, he began his active professional career in 2008 at the handball club Fivers Margareten , in the same year he broke his nose during a game with the junior national team and had to miss several games as a result. Before that he played in various youth leagues and the men's league at WAT Floridsdorf . After moving to Fivers Margareten, he won the championship title with the team in 2011 and the ÖHB Cup victory in 2009 , 2012 , 2013 and 2015 . In addition, Fuger repeatedly took part in international competitions with the Viennese . He played in the Cup Winners Cup in 2009/10, in the EHF Cup in 2010/11 and 2011/12 and in qualifying for the EHF Champions League in 2011/12 . He broke his nose again in the 2013/14 season and was therefore not available for a long time to the team, which was already struggling with injury problems. In the basic season of the 2014/15 season he was increasingly used in the second team of the Viennese which takes part in the handball Bundesliga Austria , after which he played again exclusively in the first division. Fuger ended his career in 2015.
