Martin Günther

Martin Günther (born October 8, 1986 ) is a German high jumper .

The youth world champion from 2003 was third in the German championships in the hall and fourth in the open air in 2009. The title win at the German Indoor Championships in 2010 was followed by eighth place at the Indoor World Championships in Doha . In the summer he became German runner-up. In 2014 he was German champion both indoors and outdoors . In 2018 Günther became German indoor runner-up with 2.18 m .

He started for TV Wehr until 2006 , after which he moved to LG Eintracht Frankfurt . He studies at the Hessian University for Police and Administration and belongs to the sports promotion group of the police . Since 2014 he has been a member of Fuzz Ahmed's training group in Birmingham .
