Martin Ganslmeier

Martin Ganslmeier (* 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German journalist . He heads the radio department of the ARD studio in Washington .

Life

Martin Ganslmeier studied German , political science and philosophy in Bonn and Wisconsin .

He began his journalistic activity at Saarland Broadcasting . He was a reporter, moderator and editor there for twelve years and, from 2003, head of the artistic direction for five years. From 1998 to 1999 Ganslmeier reported as a correspondent from the American capital Washington, DC

From 2008 he was the director of the Norddeutscher Rundfunk . Ganslmeier was responsible for ARD topics, cooperation with the committees, media research and marketing of the station in northern Germany. Furthermore, trimedial cooperation and other cross-departmental issues were his responsibility. Since July 2012, Ganslmeier has been the radio correspondent for the NDR in Washington. From July 2014 he headed what was then the joint radio studio of NDR and WDR in Washington. On January 1, 2015, he took over the management of the newly created ARD radio studio in Washington, where all ARD broadcasters are represented.
