Martin Huber (police officer)

Martin Huber (* 1966 ) is an Austrian administrative lawyer and state police director of Burgenland .

Career

After a law degree graduated from Huber in 1991 and 1992 his legal practice . Also in 1992 he entered the service of the province of Burgenland and served in the district administration of Eisenstadt-Umgebung . In 1994 he became head of the security department there. In December 1997 he took over the position of security officer at the office of the provincial government in Burgenland and in September 1999 he moved to the Neusiedl am See district as deputy district captain . As early as January 2000, Huber became district captain of the same district authority and at the same time security spokesman for the Burgenland district captains. After Hans Peter Doskozil, the previous state police director, switched to politics, Huber was appointed state police director from nine applicants on September 1, 2016. He is the only state police director who emerged neither from the federal police guard nor from the police administration.
