Martin Mareš (born January 23, 1982 in Blansko ) is a former Czech cyclist .
Martin Mareš started his career at CK Blansko and then drove for Dukla Brno and CK Brno. In 2002 he joined the PSK Remerx cycling team . In 2004 he won the eighth stage of the Tour de l'Avenir . In 2005 he switched to the Czech Professional Continental Team Ed 'System ZVVZ and was accepted into the T-Mobile Development Program by trainer Heiko Salzwedel . In his first season there he decided the Chinese stage race Tour of Qinghai Lake for himself and finished the UCI Asia Tour 2005 in third place overall.
From 2006 Mareš drove for the Italian team Naturino-Sapore di Mare . At the International Peace Tour, Mareš was tenth overall. From 2008 to 2010 Mareš was under contract with the Czech team PSK Whirlpool-Author . In 2009 he became the Czech road champion. He resigned the following year.
