Martin Molitor

Martin Molitor (born August 27, 1966 in Hagen ) is a German actor .

Life

Martin Molitor worked for many years at the Prinzregenttheater in Bochum and at various other theaters in North Rhine-Westphalia. Then he played u. a. at the Erlangen Theater , the Wuppertaler Bühnen , the Hebbel am Ufer Theater (HAU) in Berlin, the German National Theater Weimar , the Stadttheater Fürth and the Deutsches Theater Berlin . He is also active as a spokesman for radio play, radio and audio book productions as well as a translator of literary works (including Martin McDonagh ). He also wrote the comedy Dachshund Cracking, which premiered in 2007 at the then Theater Tribüne in Berlin, together with Christian Seltmann . In 2005 he directed Maß für Maß by William Shakespeare for the Poetenpack Theater in Potsdam and in 2008 Othello, also by William Shakespeare, at the Neuen Schauspiel in Erfurt. 2008 caused a stir the staging of the novel The Journey of Bernward Vesper by Eike Hannemann at the Theater Erlangen, in which he played one of the three lead roles. At the Landestheater Tübingen he appeared in Nipplejesus by Nick Hornby and at the Vaganten stage in Berlin, among others, in The Death of a Beekeeper by Lars Gustafsson . From 2012 to 2015 he was a member of the acting ensemble of the Theater für Niedersachsen (TfN) in Hildesheim. After that, engagements a. a. to the Grenzlandtheater in Aachen, the Stuttgart theater and the monastery festival in Weingarten. Most recently he toured Germany, Austria and Switzerland several times for Euro-Studio Landgraf with the productions Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller and Out of Nowhere by Miraz Bezar, based on the script by Fatih Akin and Hark Bohm .
