Martin Novák (born October 5, 1992 ) is a Czech shot putter who occasionally competes in a discus throw .

Athletic career

Martin Novák gained his first international experience in 2010 when he failed to make a valid attempt in qualifying at the Junior World Championships in Moncton . In the following year he finished tenth at the Junior European Championships in Tallinn with the 5 kg hammer with a width of 18.71 m and was eliminated in the discus throw with 51.66 m in the qualification. In 2013 he reached sixth place at the U23 European Championships in Tampere with a push to 18.98 m.

In 2020 Novák became the Czech champion in the shot put.
