Martin Piskorski

Martin Piskorski (born 1988 in Vienna ) is an Austrian opera singer of the vocal multiple tenor .

life and work

Piskorski gained his first musical experience as a violin student with Arkadij Vinokurow , and in 1996 he was accepted as an alto soloist with the Schubert Boys' Choir in Vienna. With this vocal ensemble he went on many concert tours until 2004. a. to Japan, Germany and Italy. In 2001 he sang the Third Boy in the Magic Flute at the Salzburg State Theater .

Since 2009 he has been studying singing with Margit Klaushofer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna . In 2011, the Neue Oper Wien engaged Piskorski as a preacher in Leonard Bernstein's Mass . At the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn he sang in university performances including Alfred in der Fledermaus by Johann Strauss and Don Ottavio in Mozart's Don Giovanni . At the Kvarner Festival in Croatia, he performed Rinaldo in Haydn's Armida in 2012 . Martin Piskorski has been a scholarship holder of the sic itur ad astra (siaa) foundation since 2013.

In 2013 and 2014 he was accepted into the Young Singers Project of the Salzburg Festival and made his debut in Mozart's city as Tamino in a production of the Magic Flute for children. He also jumped in in 2013 in a performance of Verdi's Don Carlo in the Großer Festspielhaus as Count Lerma and as Royal Messenger under Antonio Pappano . The following year he sang the steward of Faninal in the Rosenkavalier and the Belmonte in Die Entführung aus dem Serail in a production for children at the Salzburg Festival .

In 2016 he was seen as Tamino in the Peter Stein production of The Magic Flute at La Scala in Milan .
