Martin Rypl (born September 14, 1967 ) is a former Czech biathlete .

Martin Rypl is a sports teacher and lives in Rychnov . He started biathlon in 1982. He had international assignments since the late 1980s. In Feistritz , the Czech competed for Czechoslovakia at the 1989 Biathlon World Championships and was 13th in the sprint race. A few weeks earlier he had already achieved a first single-digit result in fifth in an individual in Borovets . Two years later he ran in Lahti with the team in fifth place. A year later, Rypl was used in Albertville in all three races of the 1992 Winter Olympics . After he was 50th in the sprint, he was able to halve this result in the individual to rank 25 and together with Tomáš Kos , Jiří Holubec and Ivan Masařík as the starting runner in the relay reach a seventh place. At the Biathlon World Championships in 1995 in Antholz , the Czech was 51st in the individual and 44th in the sprint. Two years later Rypl started at his last World Cup. In Osrblie he came in 45th place in the individual and reached a 15th place with the relay. After the World Cup, Rypl ended his active career.
