Martin Sternagel
Martin Sternagel (* 1893 in Langwaltersdorf near Friedland , Lower Silesia ; † 1943 ) was a German painter and graphic artist .
Sternagel, who lived in Waldenburg (Lower Silesia), worked mainly as a watercolorist , but also designed bookplates . He studied at the State Academy for Art and Applied Arts in Wroclaw , then at the Munich Art Academy . He was a member of the " Waldenburg Artists Guild ".
In Bad Charlottenbrunn in the Waldenburger Bergland he painted the fresco on the front of the then Kreissparkassen branch. Today this building is used as a pharmacy, where the five figures are still faintly recognizable.
