Martina Beltz (born Martina Keller ; born February 15, 1962 in Sangerhausen ) is a German chess player and trainer. She has the title of International Women's Champion (WIM).
Beltz was the first woman in the GDR to graduate from college to become a chess trainer. For this she attended the German University of Physical Culture in Leipzig under Ernst Bönsch . In 1985 she reached 3rd place in the GDR women's championship in Jüterbog . 1978 and 1989 she was GDR champion in blitz chess . In 1990 she finished fourth in the all-German Open Women's Championship in Bad Neustadt an der Saale .
Playing for Saxony on the first board, she and her team won the German women's team championship of the regional associations in 1991 in Braunfels . In 1994 she won the German women's speed chess championship in Rodewisch . In the 1st and 2nd national women's chess league she played for the Spielvereinigung Leipzig 1899 until 1993 , then until 2011 for the SC Leipzig-Gohlis , and since 2011 Beltz has played for the Leipzig chess community , which was created through the merger of the SC Leipzig-Gohlis and the SV Lok Leipzig-Mitte was created. With the SC Leipzig-Gohlis she took part in the women's European Club Cup in 1999 and 2000 .
In the 1990s she consistently ranked among the top 30 women in the German best list.
