Martina Corra

Martina Corra (* 11. July 1994 ) is an Argentine athlete, referring to the heptathlon specializes. In 2015 she took part in the Summer Universiade for Argentina and won the bronze medal in the heptathlon at the South American Championships in 2017 .

Career

On June 21 and 22, 2014, she collected 4609 points at the Argentine Heptathlon Championships in Rosario and thus secured her first Argentine championship title. A month later, she also won the U-23 title. She took part in the 2015 Summer Universiade for Argentina in the South Korean city of Gwangju and started there in the heptathlon competition. You finished the competition with 5250 points and thus with a new personal best. With this number of points, she took ninth place in the final statement. On December 12th and 13th, 2015, she completed the heptathlon at the Argentine championships in Mar del Plata and was able to defend her title with 5055 points.

In 2016, she started in Buenos Aires at the Argentine Athletics Championships in the 100-meter hurdles , in the long jump and in the 4-by-100-meter relay . While she finished sixth in the long jump with 5.30 meters, she won the Argentine championship title in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.25 seconds and another with her 4-by-100-meter relay in 47.66 seconds Championship title.

The Argentine heptathlon championship was held on May 13 and 14, 2017, and she won the Argentine heptathlon championship for the third time with 4862 points. She also qualified for the 2017 South American Athletics Championships , which were held in the Paraguayan capital Asunción . In the heptathlon competition she won the bronze medal with 5026 points behind the Brazilian Tamara de Sousa and the Chilean Javiera Brahm .
